She has two younger siblings; a brother, Toby, and a sister, Florence. Her great-great-grandfather was politician Sir Herbert Huntington-Whiteley, 1st Baronet, and her great-grandmother was from a family ofPolish Jews who immigrated to England in the 1870s. Huntington-Whiteley grew up in Tavistock, Devon. Growing up in Devon she was bullied and teased at school for having a double-barrelled name, no breasts and for her full lips (now one of her most famous assets). She got voted Miss Big Mouth because she talked constantly and, after a growth spurt at the age of 13, Girl Most Likely To Become A Supermodel. Bored of her farm life, she was eager to get out and go to London. In 2003, while studying at Tavistock College, she was discovered by Profile Model Management while seeking internships with several London based modelling agencies. Her first gig in front of the camera was at 16, posing for a Levi‘s commercial. She spent all of her first check on a Ford Ka, even though she couldn’ drive, thinking it would be the one and only time she would ever get paid for modelling.
Since 2006, Huntington-Whiteley has modelled for American lingerie and beauty products brand Victoria’s Secret. The model made her Victoria’s Secret debut at the brand’s 2006 show in Los Angeles.

2013’s Fresh Faces
Do you remember that terrifying ‘first day at school’? Bursting with anticipation, drenched in fear but propelled by excitement and want, there were only teachers, exams and puberty standing in the way of our fledging selves. Keep those emotions in place and swap teachers for casting agents, exams for catwalks and puberty for adulthood and you’ve carved the perfect picture of a new model’s life.
But who are the fresh faces of 2013 that we should be keeping a hawk-eye out for?
According to casting director Andrew Weir, there were ‘maybe a handful of rookies with the potential to actually break through’, and here at UK Models we know the lucky few. Get ready to meet the great girl gang.
Nastya Kusakina: Radiantly beautiful with her flawless skin, Kusakina has gained great interest from make-up brands M.A.C, Urban Decay and Sephora. But her talents don’t halt there; Fall 2012 proved a significant season. She not only walked for Givenchy, Louis Vuitton, Alexander McQueen and Maison Martin Margiela but iconically Kusakina opened Raf Simon’s finale show for Jil Sander and then walked at his debut Dior show.
Tamara Weijenberg: TV fanatics, you may recognise this nineteen old as the winner of Holland’s 2011 Next Top Model. Seizing her prize, Weijenberg worked in collaboration with MaxFactor before posing for Alexander Wang and Acne’s Resort lookbooks. Who would of thought the trained police officer would end up on the inner pages of Elle, Chaos and Document magazine? Certainly not us, until we saw her face.
Magdalena Jasek: Her red hair and fiery freckles; it’s the first thing you’ll notice about this girl. Although she fell from the fashion radar after a successful appearance at Jean Paul Gaultier and Maison Martin Margiela Fall 2010, Jasek is set for big things in the New Year.
Amanda Hendrick: A model boasting a British upbringing, Hendrick has experienced walking for Harvey Nichols (Spring 09) to Balenciaga, Jean Paul Gaultier (Sprin <p class="ecxMsoNormal">ROSIE HUNTINGTON-WHITELEY originally had dreams of being a designer before being "swept away" by the world of modelling. The Devon-born beauty admits that she initially thought a brief stint as a model might help her to reach her ultimate designing goal. <p class="ecxMsoNormal">"I always wanted to go to fashion college," she told us. "I got diverted. I got swept away to model and I thought: 'Well, it will at least give me some experience within the industry and I'll hopefully get to work with different designers from all over the world,' which is what I managed to do." <p class="ecxMsoNormal">The 25-year-old has since had the opportunity to branch out into design, creating her debut underwear collection for Autograph at Marks & Spencer, and despite her flourishing modelling career - she's forged long-term relationships with the likes of Burberry and Victoria's Secret - explained that making the move into design was as much a business decision as it was simply following her love of fashion. <p class="ecxMsoNormal">"From very early on in my modelling career it became apparent to me that it wasn't going to be forever, you have a shelf life," she explained. "I wanted to make sure I had some form of security that didn't just depend on my appearance. I wanted to use my brain, explore it in different ways and try new things." <p class="ecxMsoNormal">The British star has also famously branched out into Hollywood movies (she played the lead female in last year's Transformers blockbuster, and is currently shooting the new Mad Max film), just another addition to her extensive CV. But which does she see herself as - a model, actress or designer? The answer might surprise you - it's none of the above. <p class="ecxMsoNormal">&quo BEFORE the Hollywood films, the lingerie collections, the Burberry and Victoria's Secret campaigns and the Vogue covers, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley enjoyed a successful career on the catwalk. Her appearances for brands including Valentino, Oscar de la Renta, Moschino and Elie Saab in New York, London, Milan and Paris date back over the past decade. Now 26, the Devon-born beauty was signed at the age of 16 by Profile Model Management and made her debut on the international fashion week schedule in 2004. A slew of campaigns followed, as brands quickly began to snap up the industry's new must-have model (with those lips), including Levi's, Topshop, DKNY and Abercrombie & Fitch. Then came work with Victoria's Secret and Burberry, two partnerships which put the name Rosie Huntington-Whiteley firmly on the fashion map. She starred in numerous shoots for the US lingerie label, walking in their annual catwalk show from 2006 to 2010 and posed for a succession of high-profile Burberry campaigns - including becoming the face of their Body fragrance. A lingerie design collaboration with Marks & Spencer was to follow (quickly becoming the retailer's fastest-selling underwear range of all time), along with her big break into the film industry - starring in Transformers 3: The Dark of the Moon. She will soon make her return to the big screen, when Mad Max: Fury Road is released in 2014 - in which she stars alongside Charlize Theron, Nicholas Hoult and Tom Hardy.
