    Vivian Van Damm

Vivian Van Damm was a prominent figure in the entertainment industry in the United Kingdom during the mid-20th century. Born on December 5, 1888, in London, England, Van Damm was the son of a Dutch diamond merchant. He initially pursued a career in finance but found his true passion in the world of theater and nightlife.

Van Damm is best known for his connection to the iconic Windmill Theatre, located in London's Soho district. In 1932, he acquired the theater and transformed it into a hub of entertainment that would revolutionize the industry. Under his guidance, the Windmill Theatre became famous for its continuous variety shows that featured comedy acts, dancers, and, most notably, tableaux vivants.

One of Van Damm's most notable contributions to the Windmill Theatre was his introduction of the famous "nude revue." In a bold move that fueled controversy and intrigue, he became the first theater owner in Britain to present nude female performers on stage. Despite initial skepticism and legal challenges, Van Damm managed to navigate these hurdles, eventually securing the public's acceptance and making the Windmill Theatre a success.

Beyond his involvement in theater, Van Damm had a significant impact on British culture. He was responsible for launching the careers of numerous performers, including some of the era's most famous comedians and actors. He also played an active role in supporting the war effort during World War II, organizing shows for the troops and providing a sense of normalcy during a

Once again DOP’d by the amazing Ketil Dietrichson and shot on Red Epic with a 40mm Kowa anamorphic lens, this one shot video starring Roselyn Sanchez and Danny Trejo has got to be one of my favourite videos. I’m very aware that to the average viewer that they may feel that nothing really happens, but for me I wanted to make something more delicate than the normal music video and also allow the viewer time to think about the subtleties of the piece and to have the space to really take in all of the lyrics.

A lot of people have asked me what story I was tell by making this video, but I refuse to answer that question, as for me I wanted viewer to make up their own mind.

Once we had choreographed the move we got the take we wanted on the third attempt, which was lucky as some people had to catch early flights. A massive thank you to Roselyn and Danny who kindly gave their time to be in this, especially as both of them were so busy.

Enrique Iglesias’ ‘Turn The Night Up’ music video is the 7th Music Video I’ve worked on with him. Shot over two days the idea was to come up with some visuals, which would match the pace of the track as well as show Enrique in a slightly different light. We shot this video with very little prep time, so from the minute we got the call, it was all hands on deck to make the project happen and hit the videos release deadline. It’s fairly self explanatory what the video’s about, so I won’t go into any detail with regards to that. Shot on a Red Epic camera, due to it’s small size with Zeiss super
