    American basketball player (born 1991)

Royce Alexander White (born April 10, 1991) is an American former political candidate and former professional basketball player. He was the Republican Party's nominee in the 2024 United States Senate election in Minnesota.

White was the 2009 Minnesota Mr. Basketball and a two-time Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) championship team member. He was a Class 3A MSHSL champion in 2006 with DeLaSalle High School as a freshman and a Class 4A MSHSL champion in 2009 with Hopkins High School as a senior, leading Hopkins to a perfect (31–0) record. White played college basketball for the Iowa State Cyclones, leading the 2011–12 team in every major statistical category.

White was selected by the Houston Rockets in the first round of the 2012 NBA draft. He has a history of Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) that is mainly triggered by a fear of flying, which led to disagreements with the Rockets over mental health issues and travel. While White did not play for the Rockets, he played in three games for the Sacramento Kings in 2014. He also played for the Rio Grande Valley Vipers and the Reno Bighorns of the NBA G League. From 2016 to 2018, White played for the London Lightning of the NBL Canada, winning an NBL Canada championship and an MVP award.

In 2022, White announced his candidacy as a Republican for the U.S. House of Representatives in Minnesota's 5th congressional district. He ran as a right-wingpopulist, embracing a host of conspiracy theories, and was defeated in the primary by Cicely Davis. White then received the Republican nomination for the state's 2024 U.S. Senate election. His Senate campaign was marred by a series of controversial statements, including that "the bad guys won World War II" and disparaging remarks about women. He lost to incumbent Democrat Amy Klobuchar by a landslide in the general election.

It is known that as a second-born son, he stands in the shadows of his elder brother. Destined neither to inherit his family's holdings, nor to command its legacy. His only path is to carve the way on his own—through cunning or martial prowess. Yet, his talents, while serviceable, lacks in brilliance that would make him truly stand out. But Torwyn Royce,Corbray is one of the few who stands above the odds.

Torwyn Royce,Corbray, embodies the qualities of a Knight of the Vale: true to his word, steadfast, and unwavering in his loyalty to his liege lord. Though average in stature and gentle in demeanor compared to his in-laws, his cunning and statecraft allows him to manage the Vale's affairs.

    History[]

    Birth[]

Born in 246 AC in Heart’s Home, the seat of House Corbray, to Lord Qarl Corbray and Lady Agatha Lynderly as their second-born son.

    Childhood[]

Torwyn was raised by his father, Lord Qarl Corbray, to be under the shadow of his elder brother, which contributed in his introverted and meek personality. He found peace in reading books of heroic tales of historical knights and his family's history. Inspired by the legacy his ancestors left behind, he was set on carving his own path, despite knowing that he is destined to inherit no land nor riches from his old but poor household.

In his adolescence, Torwyn was sent to the Eyrie at the behest of his father as a ward to the late Lord Alistair Arryn. This move was done to keep the noble houses of the Vale in check, and to maintain a close relationship with one another. There he had a close relationship with Artorias Arryn, heir to House Arryn and to whom he saw more of an older brother with their 8 year age gap, as he learned to be adept in matters of warfare such as swordsmanship, archery, and the art

Montgomery first embarked on a solo career with his debut studio album, Rock City in 2002; originally slated for release the year prior, disputes with Columbia Records led it to an independent release. He released eight follow-up studio albums to critical acclaim; his latest, The Allegory (2020), earned Montgomery his first Grammy Award nomination for Best Rap Album in 2021. He also formed the hip hop supergroup Slaughterhouse with Joe Budden, Joell Ortiz and Kxng Crooked in 2008. Biography[]

In 2016, Royce rescued young thiefInez from her last job at a guarded facility. Driving away in his getaway car, he introduced himself to Inez and explained her lineage being of importance to both the Assassins and the Templars. Together, with Inez's agreement, he took her to meet the rest of his cell in a secret location. Overseeing Inez, he watched and noted her health while she had her first time in the Animus reliving Jacob Frye's genetic memories. Fortunately, he took her out of the simulation before her heart rate increased further.

Afterwards, Royce, along with Inez, Iowa, and Junko, found their way to another hideout to ready and arm themselves on their upcoming mission. Later, on another mission, he, Inez, Reiko, and Iowa, were caught in a gunfight with the Templars. Although Inez was injured, Royce was nearly killed until Inez fired a "Hail Mary" at his would-be killer before escaping. Later, at an American Civil War cemetery, they all discovered a Piece of Eden from an old wooden casket.
